Spend Christmas differently: what if you took care of the hospitalized children?
Distribution of meals, animation of New Year's Eve with the homeless, marauding with prostitutes, visits of single people, imprisoned or even sick children ... If you want to volunteer on Christmas Day, it's not too late: associations need your arms for their actions. What if this year you went to the bedside of sick children in hospitals?
Because parents of hospitalized children cannot be 100% present with them, because health care teams are often downsizing at the time of the holidays, many associations organize actions that call on volunteers in view to provide comfort and support to the sick and their families during this special Christmas.
By contributing as a volunteer, children are not only filled with joy, but the teaching of Christ is made its own: "Amen, I tell you: every time you have done it to one of my youngest brothers, you have done it to me." (Mt 25, 39-40). Here are some clues:
Created in 1987, the association Hand in Hand recruits volunteers to cuddle hospitalized babies. In the Paris region, these volunteers are present in nine hospitals (including Necker-Enfants Malades, Trousseau, Robert Debré...) in order to cuddle and cradle newborns hospitalized in paediatric wards. A mission that can make you smile but is surprisingly beneficial. In an unfamiliar environment such as the hospital, in sometimes very stressful situations, receiving signs of tenderness relaxes, soothes and can only encourage the healing of toddlers.

DO THE CADEAUX FOR SICK FREE WITH THE NEMO ASSOCIATION
The association NEMO (Christmas Children Sick Organization) was created by students of the Faculty of Medicine Paris Descartes in 2014. The fundraiser that it organizes every year from November is intended to finance the organization of a show and the distribution of gifts to hospitalized children. NEMO's initiatives quickly surpassed the Necker Hospital where they were born.
Today, events are organized throughout the Ile-de-France. Over the past Christmas, in addition to their gifts, children in several hospitals received greeting cards and sweethearts made by volunteer children. In turn, they were invited to make Christmas socks, little elves and decorate their Christmas trees.

LOVE WITH THE ASSOCIATION ALL THE WORLD AGAINST THE CANCER
The association Everybody Against Cancer was created in 2005 under the leadership of Nicolas Rossignol, journalist of TF1, following a report he had just made about a child sick with cancer. Upset by this meeting, he decides to mobilize to be on the side of families affected by cancer.
